NECCA YOUTH TROUPES

NECCA’s Youth Performance Troupes nurture the budding athlete, artist, and person. The program is designed to get them experience on the stage and also to give them tools for long-term growth in both their circus life and their everyday life. Our troupers have gone on to tour with Circus Smirkus, joined professional circus training programs, and become some of the strongest, most well-rounded adults you’ll meet.

INTERMEDIATE YOUTH TROUPE

Students in Intermediate Youth Troupe will learn the fundamentals of flexibility, strength, coordination, and creativity. The group-training format allows students to learn collaboratively and develop the teamwork needed for ensemble performances.

For more information on how to register, please contact us at info@necenterforcircusarts.org.

Due to COVID-19, we have combined the intermediate and advanced youth troupes. Please let us know if you have any questions. Also please note, these classes are subject to change or cancellation at any time.

ADVANCED YOUTH TROUPE

Students who are ready to specialize in a specific apparatus or skill will receive even more individualized training in Advanced Youth Troupe. Group training in fundamental areas such as flexibility, strength, coordination, and performance are still a fundamental part of the curriculum.

Advanced Youth Troupers should be able to train safely without supervision and are expected to take an active role in setting their own physical and creative goals.

NECCA Testimonials

“This [NECCA] is a good business plan. This creates jobs, economic development, opportunity, but most importantly, it changes kids’ lives.”

PETER SHUMLINGovernor of Vermont

“NECCA is an unbelievably fantastic resource that has given my daughter strength, confidence, agility, artistry, and a close family of like-minded souls. Not sure where she would have found her place if not for NECCA.”

JULIA L.NECCA Parent

“I have not felt this beautiful since my surgery. Just as cancer teaches you that you can live through stresses you never imagined, this program teaches you that your body can fly and do things you never imagined.”

ANONYMOUSCancer Survivor

“The kids had a total blast. . .we really appreciate NECCA reaching out to us so that we can all work together to serve our kids better. They were so centered, and grounded, and ready to get back to academics when they came back to school – and that’s exactly what we had hoped for them!”
