Push yourself physically while diving deep into the world of the circus arts in this immersive training program.

Program Details

Our intensive programs are a great option for folks who want to reach further into their circus dreams or for those wanting to get back into the swing of things after time away.

The Winter Intensive Program will run for 7 weeks: January 4 – February 19, 2027.

The Important Info…

Winter Intensive 2027 Cost
  • Regular Program: $3150
  • Accelerated Program: $3500
Important Notes:
  • There is a 5% discount off a second workshop for students joining multiple consecutive Intensives.
  • 50% deposits are due upon acceptance, and the balance is due at the start of the program. Other payment plans can be arranged.
  • Drop in packages may be available based on enrollment, minimum 3 weeks. If you are interested please email Elsie.
Financial Aid
  • We also have some financial aid available for these programs.

    • If you have been a resident of Vermont for 1 year, you may be eligible for student loan and grant assistance through the Vermont Students Assistance Corporation (VSAC) by filling out the form here.

This years’ program runs for 7 weeks, from January 4 – February 19, 2027. There will be no classes on Monday, January 19th.

This program is for students with a current circus arts practice and a mature approach to training who are looking to intensify and broaden their circus training, and also for those with fitness and sport backgrounds who are interested in exploring the world of circus arts. This can be your circus getaway or the start of your professional circus training journey.

While the program is designed for students 17 & up, we do accept students ages 14 to 16. We generally request an interview with the student and their parent/guardian before acceptance. For more information please email us.

General Program

13.5 hours per week of coached training, plus open training options

Accelerated Program

16 hours per week of coached training, plus open training options

General Schedule
  • Tuesdays
    • 10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Intensive group class – dance, partner acro, fitness
    • 2:30 – 4:00 pm: Intensive group open training with floating coach plus mini workshops
  • Thursdays
    • 2:00 – 2:30 pm: Self warm up
    • 2:30 – 4:00 pm: Group class – tumbling
    • 4:15 – 5:15 pm: Group class – flexibility
  • Fridays 
    • 3:00 – 5:30 pm: Group class – coach led warm up, acrobatics plus conditioning & mobility
Plus:
  • Focus Lessons: Schedule customized for each person. Generally weekday afternoons.
    • General Program: 1 hour per week
    • Accelerated Program: 2 hours per week
  • Session Classes: Pending student selection. Monday to Thursday 6:00 – 7:30 pm or 7:30 – 9 pm.
    • General Program:  2 classes per week (3 hours)
    • Accelerated Program: 3 classes per week (4 1/2 hours)
  • Open Training: Optional. Usually 4:00 – 9:00 pm weekdays, plus Saturdays & Sundays

The program is directed by Elsie Smith, with Head Coach Alyk Fuller, plus a variety of other coaches.

Fill out the application form and include a video of your current skills. Include video of your focus area as well as any fitness, sport or other circus activities you are currently doing and demonstrate as many of these core skills as possible.

  1. Forward roll and dive roll
  2. Cartwheel: (both sides)
  3. Handstand: against a wall or free-standing
  4. Back bridge: push up from laying on ground
  5. Splits: left, to straddle (center), to right
  6. Pull-ups: please show that your feet are not on the ground at the start/end

There is no deadline for applying – we have rolling admissions until the program is full. However, we have limited spots for each apparatus so applying early will assure you the spot you are dreaming of! We highly recommend completing your application three months before the program start date, or as soon as possible!

How to apply?

There is no due date for the application, it’s rolling acceptance, but spots for specific apparatus fill up quickly so we recommend applying at least three months before the program start dates, or as soon as possible! More info for Winter Intensive is coming soon!
