Understanding Shoulders

With Simone Lukas-Jogl

How do your shoulders really work, and how can you keep them healthy? In this workshop, we’ll provide a solid understanding of the joint mechanics of the shoulder complex as well as exercises that help avoid overuse and injury.

We will:

  • Explore the anatomy of the shoulder girdle and learn how it should move in relation with the arm and torso.
  • Learn about common problems that set the shoulder joint up for misalignment and pain and how to avoid them.
  • Learn exercises to facilitate and strengthen the specific muscles that control the position and movement of the shoulder blade.
  • Learn, practice and refine a set of multi-joint movement patterns for shoulder warm-up and pre-hab.
