Swinging Trapeze – Next Steps

With Violet Defiant

If you’ve tried swinging trapeze with us in the past in a workshop, class, or retreat, let’s get you back up in the air! We’ll start with a quick refresher on swing technique and the basic up/down choreography from pushing to hanging under the bar.

For those with more muscle memory, we’ll look at new skills!

About the Coach

Violet Defiant is a swinging trapeze phenom who moonlights as an innovative and unusual foot juggler, hand balancer, and lyric storyteller. While she spends most of her time flinging herself off the swinging trapeze, hand balancing is her longest practice.

After graduating from NECCA’s ProTrack in 2022, she toured Goodbye Party the Show! with Big Teeth Performance Collective, and has performed for Artpark New York, HUP State Circus Festival, Nimble Arts, Theater Bizarre, the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, and more!
