Marissa Peck started her career in the non-profit sector through the AmeriCorps VISTA program in 2014, working in healthy food access in upstate NY. She served at the organization for 8 years, mixing her love for local, healthy food with community organizing and project management. In 2017, Marissa found her way to AcroYoga and quickly developed a passion for all things Acro, especially if it involves being upside down.
The pandemic presented challenges in partner acro collaborations and encouraged Marissa to explore other patices: she danced with flowers, took up aerial hammock, and delved into contact improv. You can now find her bouncing around the northeast, playing with gravity, momentum and inertia; growing flowers in her community garden; and assisting NECCA’s admin team with enthusiastic communication, heart-felt hospitality, and detail-oriented program support.
