Erika came to circus from a career in visual arts and graphic design. She discovered a passion for rope while living in Oregon and moved to Vermont to join the Professional Training Program at the New England Center for Circus Arts. Since graduating in 2017, Erika has continued to train, teach, create, and perform both at home and abroad. She coaches at NECCA as a recreational and professional program coach, and teaches workshops in the United States and Europe.
In 2019, she won first place for her performance in her division in the Emerging Pro category at VIVA Festival, as well as special prizes from AIDA Casting and Cirque du Soleil Casting. Erika enjoys combining her knowledge of design with her skills on rope to bring something beautiful, and a little different, to her audiences.
Alongside her training and career in circus, Erika also has a passion for graphic design and web development. She works as the designer for NECCA as well as for independent clients across the country.
