C-Shape – Balance in Imbalance

With Dillan Harris

A strong c-shape can enable us to roll up and down and all around the rope. It involves understanding how to engage into the rope, how to push and pull against it, and how to extend and flex around it.

We’ll explore making counterweights out of our limbs and find the balancing act in rope’s many imbalanced positions.

About The Coach

Dillan Harris (she/they) is an aerialist specializing in aerial straps, rope, silks, and hammock. After years of practicing and teaching yoga, she discovered aerial silks while in Los Angeles, CA, and was forever hooked. They’ve trained primarily with Brett Womack in silks and rope, David Gray on straps, Alex Allan on rope, and a number of other excellent coaches over the past 12 years.

Her love of aerial has taken her all around the world—studying act development in Greece, busking around Eastern Europe, teaching workshops in Slovakia, performing on tour with Aerial Experience Productions and Paper Doll Militia, and creating multiple full length shows in NYC.

She strives to coach any and all willing bodies to build strength, hone technique, and foster creativity in the air.
