Aerial Pole: Spins and Deadlifts – Stability Through Transitions

This workshop focuses on advancing spins, flares, and lifts to free suspends into stable transitions on the pole.

Artists will play with different sequences as it relates to building spins and holding shapes.

Prerequisites:
Participants should be able to climb the pole and have solid inversions and leg hangs

What to Wear:
Pole shorts or leggings are advised. As much bare skin as comfortable.

14 & up

About the Coach

Nicky Ly is a circus artist residing in Philadelphia and has been practicing pole for over 8 years. He specializes in flying pole but is also versed in other aerials and dance.

As a coach he enjoys teaching students by breaking down the technical aspects of movement into easy to understand pieces. His movement is characterized by smooth transitions, fluid dynamics, and bendy tricks.
