Beta Night Program Director

Victoria Quine grew up as a gymnast and competitive dancer where she used her nervous energy backstage to teach herself to juggle. She studied ballet, jazz, and Graham technique modern dance for well over 15 years before discovering circus at her college’s circus club in 2006 where she learned partner acrobatics through creative play. She was fortunate enough to study at the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne, Australia for a short course program in the summer of 2007. Since then, she has graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in cognitive psychology and child development through the lens of circus arts. She continued her studies of aerials and acrobatics at Esh Aerial Arts in Cambridge, MA and NECCA’ ProTrack Program.

Victoria has done numerous teacher trainings with NECCA and was the Youth Program Director at Wise Fool New Mexico where she worked with kids and adults from all walks of life and put together a youth performance team. Since then, she has lived in California and worked as a head aerial coach, an artist-in-residence for Prescott Circus (a circus for at-risk youth), and a coach for a professional aerialist troupe. She has performed all across the country in solo and duo aerials, partner acrobatics, juggling, stilting, and more. In 2015 she toured with the Canadian theater company Caravan Stage Theatre for 5 months on a tall ship where she performed for audiences while hanging from the mast! She is excited to bring her knowledge and love of circus back to NECCA.

“NECCA is an unbelievably fantastic resource that has given my daughter strength, confidence, agility, artistry, and a close family of like-minded souls. Not sure where she would have found her place if not for NECCA.”

“This [NECCA] is a good business plan. This creates jobs, economic development, opportunity, but most importantly, it changes kids’ lives.”

“The kids had a total blast. . .we really appreciate NECCA reaching out to us so that we can all work together to serve our kids better. They were so centered, and grounded, and ready to get back to academics when they came back to school – and that’s exactly what we had hoped for them!”

“I have not felt this beautiful since my surgery. Just as cancer teaches you that you can live through stresses you never imagined, this program teaches you that your body can fly and do things you never imagined.”
