Nina Moll
Nina always enjoyed life better while upside down. She has been adventuring in the worlds of circus, music, theater and dance for over 10 years. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (where swimming is possible all year round, which she misses very much), Nina has developed a passion for the performing arts, environmental and social justice. She had her first contact with circus while taking the youth classes in one of Brazil’s biggest circus companies, Intrépida Trupe. Since then, she has tried out six different colleges and three countries, and has graduated from the New School with a BFA in Theater and from the American Music and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) at their Integrated Musical Theater Conservatory program. Exploring movement improvisation and character work within circus is her favorite past time. Nina finds backbends to be the most comfortable position to sleep in and therefore focuses her circus training in contortion, lyra and dance trapeze. Besides that, Nina’s spare time is usually filled with books, movies and music next to her tortoise-shell cat, Lola. Her greatest achievements pre-pandemic were performing at the La MaMa Experimental Theater Club in New York City as an actor and contortionist and being able to perfect her tofu scramble recipe.
