About This Workshop

Two people on a single rope demands creativity and practice to move gracefully through the air. This workshop will give experienced aerialists some basic building blocks for rope partnering including five positions you can base from, ways of climbing and dropping together, and practice working and communicating as a duo. No partner required for this workshop.

Prerequisites:

Students should be comfortable moving around the rope, including basic inversions.

16 & up or by permission of instructor

About The Coach

Terry Crane is an alumnus of the Beijing International Arts School, the National Circus School of Montreal, and Oberlin College. Terry has impressed audiences, critics, and circus aficionados alike with his fearless, original aerial rope technique. He has performed in 10 countries on 3 continents, with multiple television appearances, and in front prestigious of persons such as the king of Norway and the prime minister of Thailand. To date he has founded 2 companies, Circus Syzygy, and the Acrobatic Conundrum. His work is inspired by a diverse range of influences including capoeira, modern dance, and theatrical clown, which infuse his own fiercely unique style.
