About the Performers
Paxton Asher
Paxton Asher is a Canadian/American circus artist, dancer and theatre creator with a passion for collective collaboration. Currently based in Brattleboro, VT, Paxton attended NECCA’s ProTrack program focusing on contortion, trapeze and aerial chair. Here, she has expanded her creative community performing with: Cirque Us, Upper Valley Circus Collective, and Anver Entertainment.
Paxton grew up heavily involved in her family’s dance company, The DanceXperience, before transitioning to the theatre world. While attending Humber College’s Physical Theatre program she discovered her passion for circus arts. It wasn’t until Paxton immigrated to the USA that her professional circus career began. She spent 4 years with Aerial Arts of Rochester and Hooplah Troupe performing throughout upstate New York, including the annual Rochester Fringe Festival.
You can find her at @pax_flex on instagram or view her website at paxtonasherx.wixsite.com.
Camille Echeverri
Camille Echeverri is a circus artist specializing in aerial hoop and loop straps.
Coming from a visual arts background, Camille loves to use her painting skills to build foundations for her acts. Camille’s dream as a circus artist is to create art that integrates character work and aerial disciplines in a blend of storytelling and dazzling feats of strength. You can find her at @camiliacircus on Instagram!
Harper Hayes
Harper is a multidisciplinary circus artist with a unique and nontraditional journey into the world of professional circus performance. Her journey began when she first started hula hooping recreationally and quickly discovered a curiosity for object manipulation. Delving in disciplines ranging from fire dancing and hula hooping to lyra and fabric, she is a seasoned performer whose passion for the extraordinary has ignited stages around the country.
On a mission for connection and creativity, she enjoys defying gravity and captivating audiences with a seamless blend of strength, flexibility and artistic expression. When not circus-ing, Harper enjoys mushroom hunting, modular origami, distance running and being a dog mom. Follow her Circus journey through her instagram or on her website – @CircularSorcery & CircularSorcery.com!
Esther van de Lagemaat
Esther(@esther.ropes) is a lasso artist and aerialist from Colorado. From the ages of 8-18, she learned lasso and horsemanship, performing at rodeos and events across the US. Since then, Esther has continued to develop lasso outside of a rodeo context, pushing it into the circus world and performing it in a style uniquely her own. In addition to NECCA, she has recently toured with Cirque Us Stories and performed with Quixotic Fusion.
Emma Maines
Although Emma Maines (@EmmaKateEmi) has always found happiness through movement, the joy of circus has been a recent discovery. Prior to training at the New England Center for Circus Arts Emma studied theoretical linguistics and elementary education at the University of Connecticut, traveled the world, and worked for a non-profit dog rescue in Mexico. Completing the ProTrack program at NECCA, they will graduate with a major in Dance Trapeze and Minor in Aerial Pole.
Eliana Perlmutter
Eliana is a dynamic circus performer who wows audiences with her Cyr wheel, partner acrobatics, and tumbling skills. She loves to take audiences on emotional and joyous journeys. Eliana co-founded a circus company, Constructive Interference (cicircus.com) and co-produced Constructive Interference’s first full length show, Transatlanticism: A Circus Tribute.

Avery Ucker
Avery Ucker is pretty sure that, way way way back, her earliest primal relatives were badass femme lady apes who were absolute branch-swinging dynamos. She studied dance trapeze and clown/juggling/emcee in NECCA’s ProTrack. Avery spent last summer with Circus Bella as a Roustabout on their summer tour, and looks forward to joining them again this summer. When not doing circus, she can be found cuddling her dog or eating popcorn untidily.
