RICOCHET is the intimate collaboration of Cohdi Harrell and Laura Stokes. Conceived in a 1940's adobe theatre in the mountains of northern New Mexico, STITCH is the first birth of this quickly emerging duo. Classified as contemporary circus, but preferring the term 'contemporary experimentalismists', Cohdi and Laura have tiptoed in and out of dance companies, operas, theatres, musical collaborations, and circuses across the world. Using hanging objects (trapeze, fabric), body manipulation (contortion, stilts), emotional acrobatics and an old steamer trunk, STITCH is the melting pot for these two movement researchers to dissolve their technique into a sublime story that draws on themes of falling from grace, human potential, dysfunction and connection. Described as "acrobatics for the soul," STITCH is a 45minute exploration of the complexities, hilarities and absurdities of the human experience.
