What is Boot Camp?

Are you interested in working hard and seeing if you have the chops for circus work? Do you have existing skills that you d like to hone and build into an act? This workshop is designed for students with previous experience in the circus arts. Instructors include a variety of NECCA coaches who will be selected to match the skills areas of accepted applicants. Skill areas include, but are not limited to, hand balancing/contortion, partner acro/adagio, chinese pole, wire walking, juggling/manipulation, lyra/hoop, fabric/rope and trapeze. NEW THIS YEAR: swinging trapeze, and the opportunity to work with founders Elsie & Serenity Smith!

Boot Camp includes 3 hrs of group training per day, which includes warm up and stretching, act creation, conditioning and physical theater work. Three afternoons a week each student will receive a 1 hr private lesson. Students will also have several hours per day to train in an Open Studio format to practice the skills they learn in the workshop.
