MAKE UPS Make up Policy for Youth: 1) One make-up class per semester can be arranged in cases of illness/injury. 2) All make-ups must be scheduled in advance and will be based on availability in a class that is suitable for the student. Please call the office for the arrangements. 3) All make-ups must be used during the semester in which the original class was missed.
Make up Policy for Students enrolled in Adult Classes Students can join the Open Studio for free to make up up to two classes missed during the current session. Un-used make ups cannot be rolled over into a new session.
If a student misses several classes and falls behind the rest of the class in a way that is detrimental to the safety and/or continuity of the class, the Coach may ask the student to move to a class with a more appropriate skill level, or ask the student to wait for the next session of classes to begin. We will not give credit for classes that the student missed (see the Make up policy) but we will give credit for any classes missed when the student is moved to another class or session.
Refund policy for ongoing classes: 100% of the deposit will be refunded less a $10 administrative cost prior to the 1st day of class. No refund will be given after the first day of classes. Refund policy for Workshops & Camps: 100% of your deposit fee, less $25 administrative fee per Workshop, Intensive or Camp, is refundable prior to one month before the first day of the workshop, after which time 50% of your deposit is refundable until two weeks before the first day of the Workshop, after which time no refund will be given.
DROP INS & PARTIAL SESSIONS
ADULT CLASSES: Drop ins may not be used to make up a missed classes. (Adult students may use the Open Studio to make up up to two missed classes per session.)
Drop ins are allowed for the following classes: Stretching & Strengthening Inversions & Handstands Aerial Conditioning Acrobatics
Drop ins to beginner aerial classes are only allowed during the first three classes of a session. After the 3rd class of each session drop in students are no longer allowed. Trapeze beginner Fabric beginner
Drop ins to the following classes are only allowed by permission of instructor, and only if the class has room. To arrange a drop in you must contact the office by phone (not email!) 48 hours prior to the class. Trapeze intermediate/advanced Fabric intermediate/advanced Act Creation
A student may sign up for a partial session of a class if they are starting late in the session, and if there is room in the class. A student may not reserve space in a partial session of a class ahead of time, unless they intend to pay for the full session. The class will be prorated from the day that they start.

PRIVATE LESSONS Students are welcome to warm up in the studio 30 min prior to a scheduled lesson and stay 30 min after as long as the studio is open and the space is available. They must have permission of their instructor to use any equipment, and must sign a Member's Only Open Studio waiver. They are only allowed to use equipment on which they have trained with a NECCA coach.
Students who wish to stay longer may request a daily or monthly Membership (see below).
COST: $60 for 1 student (55 minutes) $66 for 2 students (55 minutes) - change effective April 15, 2009 $75 for 3 4 students (55 minutes) $85 for 5- 6 students (55 minutes)
Cancellation policy for Private Lessons at NECCA: lessons must be cancelled by phone at 802-254-9780 48 hrs prior to the scheduled lesson or the fee will be charged for the missed lesson. The only exceptions are due to weather, health or injury.
OPEN STUDIO Any student 16 or older currently taking adult session classes or private lessons is allowed to come to Open Studio. Private lesson students must take one private lesson per month minimum to qualify for this. Adult session class students may use Open Studio to make up up to two classes missed during the current session.
Thursdays 730 9 pm
COST: $10/class, or free as a make up for a missed class, and for Pro Track, Residency & Members Only students.
OPEN STUDIO RULES (signed by all students at the beginning of each Open Studio class) 1. You are only allowed at Open Studio if you are enrolled in a class at NECCA or have taken a class or private lesson at NECCA within the last month. 2. You are only allowed to use equipment that you have studied with a NECCA coach. 3. Open studio time is a time to practices skills that you have studied with a coach at NECCA. It is not a time to teach yourself new skills. 4. You may not teach another Open Studio student any new skills. (See #2 and #3) 5. You must train with an appropriate mat under the equipment. If this is unclear to you please check in with the Open Studio staff person.
MEMBERS ONLY TRAINING
This is for intermediate through professional level students who have demonstrated safety awareness, and an ability to share the space in a respectful manner. Students must receive instruction on the use of any equipment that they wish to use during Members Only Training, and must sign a Members Only Open Studio Waiver. Permission for a daily pass can be given by a private lesson coach at the end of each lesson. Permission for Monthly membership must be given by the Artistic Director, who will give each student an orientation to the studio.
COST: $10/day pass $70/monthly membership Free to Professional Track & Residency Students
Eligibility: - All Residency, Pro Track & Intensive students are eligible. - Private lesson, advanced students and professional guests can inquire in the office about participation. - If you have a private lesson scheduled you are welcome to arrive 30 min. early and stay 30 min. late to train without needing to pay for Members Only training time. If you wish to stay longer your Private lesson coach can give you permission for a Daily Membership, but only the Artistic Director (Elsie Smith) can give permission for Monthly Memberships.
Participation Guidelines: 1. You must sign in every time you train at the studio. 2. You must sign a Members Only Open Studio waiver acknowledging that you will be training without an instructor. 3. Please respect the other people training in the space. Session classes and Private lessons have priority on equipment and space. 4. You must put away all equipment/mats/training tools and vacate the training studio as soon as the Members Only training time has been completed to make way for other classes and students.
FLYING TRAPEZE
Punch Card Policy:
Purchasing: Card can be used for any class during the season, and can be shared by up to 2 (two) people. We keep the card in our files and will mark it whenever ongoing student(s) named on the card take a class. If any classes are not used up by the end of the season, no refund will be given. The last date to purchase a card it August 9 to ensure that students will have ample opportunity to use their cards before the close of the season.
Class Reservation: If ongoing student reserves a spot in a class and does not take the class, the card will be punched for one (1) class. Student must arrive no more than 10 minutes after the start of the class in order to retain their reservation in a class if there are other students waiting to get into the class. If a students wishes to cancel a reservation they must do so by calling 802-254-9780 at least 24 hours in advance: no emails please! If the ongoing student does not reserve a spot in a class they can attend on a first come/first served enrollment, with a maximum of 10 students per class.
Make up: Classes can only be made up if they are cancelled by NECCA. If the class was cancelled due to weather after the lessons was 1/2 over, there will be no make up or refund for drop in or ongoing students. If the class was cancelled before the lesson was 1/2 over then all students will receive a credit of 1/2 class, which will be kept on file for future use.
